Only one sleep to go till we head off for Houston. We are so excited!! Thought I would show you all a site map so you can see the enormity of the International Quilt Market. There is certainly nothing like it here.
The samples are made, the bags are packed and off we go....
We will be back in 2 weeks with heaps of photos (as long as our camera doesn't get stolen again).
The retreat was amazing! So many beautiful ladies sharing in stitching and eating and chatting. The weather served up three magnificent days and I cant wait till the next one!Glenharrow really is my favorite place to be! For a much more thorough look at what went on, look here.
The countdown is on for our Houston trip. Less than a week to go! We are very busy making samples for the big event. I hope to manage a goodbye post sometime in the next week.
Glenharrow retreat is in full swing. Today was amazing! I will show you all later. Meanwhile, the winners are Simone Harding, oct 04, 8:44, Hayleyand Rebecca Woods, oct 04, 9:01. Congratulations girls! Please send me your snail mail addresses and the cards will be on their way!
In other very exciting news, I have been given the most beautiful Lakehouse Drygoods fabric by Holly Holderman. It is so yummy! I am very inspired by it and have some great new ideas! I just wish I had more time! They will be in patchwork shops in Australia very soon. Look out for them!
These are only some of them. Take a look at the Lakehouse Drygoods site for a better look! They are called "Dolls Dresses". I love them all!
My cards are here!!! I am very happy with them. It must be give away time! Leave a comment before Thursday night and I will put you in the running for one of three full sets of my "Friendship's Greeting" cards. Of course, each card comes with the stitchery pattern of the picture displayed. I will also throw in a complimentary hand-out which shows how to put them into a wall quilt. Good luck!
Too busy to think straight (Houston 3 weeks, glenharrow retreat 1 week) but I did escape for a while to textile heaven! Thats right, HEAVEN! My friend Marg (Glenharrow fame) took me to Ziguzagu in Melbournes Richmond. I couldnt believe my eyes as they feasted on roll after roll of vintage Japanese Kimono fabrics! These are my favourites.
Are they not beautiful????
I had a little disappointment this week as my cards arrived back from the printer but I was not happy with them. I really want them to be the best they can be so we have ordered a new lot which after some tweaking should be heaps better. I think they will arrive on Monday. Will let you know!
