We are all getting quite excited about traveling to Adelaide this weekend for the inspired stitches retreat. Melly, Janelle, Leanne and I will be sharing our designs with a large group of very inspired stitchers at Quilt Fabric Delights for the lovely Sarah. I am quite excited as I have never actually been to Adelaide before. (We will ignore the fact that the weather is predicted to be quite torrential this weekend!) It will be lovely to be cosy and warm and sewing inside no matter what the weather outside! I look forward to seeing many of you there.
In other news, I have been madly creating a new block of the month called "It's a Dollie's Life". It is a very cute Doll's House quilt with lots of little rooms with Dollies having fun going about their lives. Here are a few close-ups.
It is at the quilters now so it won't be too long until I can reveal it to you all. I still have to write the patterns so it should be another couple of weeks until the patterns are available.
As you can see, I have used all the yummy Minni Muu that I showed you earlier. It seemed just right for a doll's house quilt. I have also used button hole applique which is very unusual for me. I have had sooo much fun making the quilt as placing the dolls and their furniture reminded me of playing with Fuzzy Felt when I was a child. It brought out all my childhood Doll's House wishes!
Enjoy your creation!

Hi Rosie, can't wait till Saturday it has been an awfully long week waiting for the weekend to come. All the girls are so looking forward to the weekend. I am having a little break from trying to put my sewing room in order it is an absolute joke (put on binding on a quilt on monday and the quilt was knocking all the *&^%$ off the table as I was doing it) Might have to go for a trip to IKEA for some extra storage just need to put in a mezannine floor to put it on.
