Look at all the thready goodness that arrived in the mail this week! LECIEN sent me the full range of their delicious Cosmo multi work two strand embroidery floss on the spool.
Sigh..... I think I am in love! Look at all the delicious muted colours and 88m per spool! I have 74 spools to play with- can't wait.
How wonderful will it be for stitchery to have two strands ready to go at any length??? I think this is what I will be playing with over Summer. I will let you know how it goes but if its anything like the rest of the Cosmo range I'm excited.
Less than a week till the AQM and the furniture for display is going well. Check out the blouse chest
I know that it looks great but you don't want to look too closely! There are some bubbles and this is totally devastating! The amount of work that went into getting it right and now I have some bubbles!!!! Feeling sorry for myself- sniff...sniff... I knew that watching the Lifestyle channel was going to get me into trouble! The question is - Should perfectionists attempt DIY furniture projects with no idea of what they are doing????? I think maybe not! The Mrs Perkins brigade don't seem to mind though
Till next time- enjoy your creation!
Rosalie xx

It looks stunning Rosalie...bubbles and all :) Lucky you with the thread delivery....sigh...I'm imagining how lovely it would be to get a delivery like that! Have fun with it.

What bubbles??? Can't see 'em from here... I think it looks sensational... xxx Yeah, I use to be a perfectionist, not worth the worry...

Where are those pesky bubbles??? I can't see any from where I'm looking.
Love the cosmo threads,is there an outlet in Aussie that sells them ?? :) Barb.

Hi Rosalie!
Those threads look delicious... and how time-saving would they be for punchneedle?!!! Could you please advise me if anywhere stocks them in Australia? Many thanks in advance, Vikki :-)

2 strand thread ... hold me back... lucky you Rosalie!

I don't see any bubbles either Rosie, the drawers look gorgeous.
I've been working with the two strand Cosmo and it is delicious. I know the Quilters Store in Brisbane has the full Cosmo range, but don't know of anybody else that does unfortunately, cos I'm totally addicted to them.

I've just been net surfing - wasting time as usual. Guess what I found! Just in case you did not already know - there is a company called 'Late Bloomer Quilts' that has used your fabric in at least 2 of their patterns- both bag patterns.I found them on the Fat Quarter Shop site.
I wish the public was allowed into this market. It looks like it is going to be fun. Have a great time.

I love the look of all the props you are making, I am sure you are the only one who will notice the bubbles.
The Cosmo 2 strand floss sounds like a fantastic idea, and looks lovely - slightly muted colours are my favourites - that purple in the first shot looks delish.
Good luck with the AQM.

What gorgeous thread ! No one else will see the bubbles but if you're anything like me they'll stand out like ???? you know !

Those threads would be wonderful to work with, but do tell, where on earth does one buy the Lecein and Cosmo range? As for the decorative touch to the blouse chest, I think you may be your own worst critic girl! I can't see anything wrong with it. Just lovely.

Hi Rosie
Love your new fabric.
I am going to make your French revival quilt out of Rouenerries when I find my pattern.

Threads - JEALOUS! They are so beautiful and will be brilliant for everything, especially punch needle. I'd love to know where they will be available too. (all 70 0dd of them!)

Everytime I see lovely threads all together it makes me want to try my hand at stitchery again. I used to do it many years ago. I think your blouse chest turned out sweet and is even sweeter filled with Mrs. Perkins's!

Bubbles? What bubbles? The chest is wonderful. How awesome to have all that Cosmo floss to work with! Enjoy it!

I just love it! I have one spool of the floss. More to come! Mrs. Perkins is just too sweet. Your chest is fantastic!

You did it! Wahoo! Good job! And as a fellow perfectionist I understand the disappointment about the bubbles however if you never attempted anything how would you ever learn anything?! Keep trying fun stuff like this.
Are these the embroidery threads you recommended a long time ago and said they were in the US but not Austrailia? I didn't realize they came 2 ply on a spool. What a fabulous idea. Someone was really thinking!

Love the little three drawer chest. It's adorable!

What bubbles?? THose adorable blue giraffes completely hide any bubbles YOU might see. The rest of us just see cute, cute, cute!!
I love the Cosmo thread skeins. I've been using it for about 6 months.
I'm not so thrilled with the Cosmo on the spool. I had tangling issue with it that I didn't have when I used Cosmo from a skein. ;0
The thread is soooo soft! Anyway, the chest looks adorable and the giraffes add to it!

What a fantastic idea having two strands ready to go on the spool.... i know i've wasted endless amounts of thread when separating 6 strands and ending up in a tangle! Your blouse chest looks just gorgeous too.... and like most of your other admirers, i can't see any bubbles!

Rosie...your blouse chest is almost identical to mine!!! and it looks fantastic....you know wht my Dad would say about the bubbles? That a blind person would be very happy to see them...I always remember this when I am too critical about what my work looks like....and those new threads look gorgeous

Those threads are gorgeous - I've added them to my shopping list! Imagine not having to separate those embroidery threads anymore... and I think that blouse chest looks great! Well Done!
