I know it has been another long pause between posts. I could go into an in depth explanation about the failings of my home computer and the continual appearance of the "blue screen of death" however, I will spare you the details and myself the raised blood pressure! Suffice to say, I will be buying a new computer in the next few weeks when I can make up my mind about changing to a Mac or sticking with a PC. I am not usually one for such a big decision but I am sure I will decide soon. I am currently at Creative Abundance using a lovely WORKING computer to write this post.
I am sure you would like to know what I have been up to. I have been working diligently on my second range of fabric for LECIEN. This week was all about choosing the colour placement within the designs. It is always the part I love most. The new range is called "Sweet Broderie" and it is looking wonderful. I can't wait till you can all see it. It won't be released till later in the year but I promised you will get sneak peeks along the way.
I have just finished my block for the new Quilt-Aid quilt. I have seen a peek of all the blocks by your favourite designers and know that this years quilt will be just as beautiful as last years. I will give details as they become available.
Melly and I are also in the discussion stages of a wonderful book project together which is quite exciting for both of us.
This weekend I began hand quilting "Advent Angels" and then had a "What the heck am I doing?" moment. I then proceeded to undo the quilting and promptly took the quilt to the machine quilters place. A good decision I think!
I have also decided to release one of my favourite wall quilts called "Peppermint Stitches". You may have seen it in a previous edition of Homespun magazine. It is a gorgeous christmas wall quilt with two cute quilt labels on the back.
It should be in stores in the next week or so.
I hope to get back to you very soon with some more of whats been going on.
Rosalie xx
P.S. I have just finished reading "The Book Thief" which was a great read. Has anyone else read it?

Hey Rosie! Uh oh!! I can sympathise with your computer death - happened to me last January - EEK!! No computer for two weeks!! It nearly killed me. And I can sure relate to your "What the heck am I doing?!" moment ... I have those a LOT! You know ... something seems like a good idea ... until you get started!! Can't wait to see your advent angels all happily quilted! Exciting to hear about your 'coming soon' fabric range and book, too - Woo! Hoo! Aussie designers ROCK!! Bear Hugs! KRIS

Welcome back Rosie. There's no choice when it comes to a computer - it's Apple every time. Stunning to look at and a doddle to use , (and no viruses!!)
Can't wait for the new fabric

Sorry the computer gremlins have been visiting. Darling little quilt. As for The Book Thief...it's in the pile of books to read...I love to read but find myself spending LOTS of time in my new sewing space. I've heard great reviews so I'll move it to the top of the pile.

Blue screen of death...too cute! :) I have a PC, but I like Mac just as well. As long as I don't use the explorer browser I'm just fine... Yay Firefox!
I can't wait to see your next line!

Hi Rosalie!
The stitchery is adorable! (ditto for the labels!)
I'm finding myself smiling at the comments for a Mac! Even though you didn't ask. . . I use Macs. . . & I love them. Would never, ever go to a PC.. . . Macs are so nice to use It's like computer-heaven. If you have an Apple Store anywhere nearby - go & play. . . they are really nice that way.
Hope you get to put your computer woes behind you soon!
(. . . & I can hardly wait to see your new line!) ;o)

Hi Rosalie,
I've always been a PC girl, but last year we got an iMac and I can't believe I waited so long . . . you will never look back. For all the reasons above - space (or lack of it that it takes up), speed, ease of use - go and check out the macs!
Regards, Sue

Nice to see you back, look forward to your many upcoming projects.
Good luck with the computer. I've never used a Mac so I won't give any advise.

I use both types of computers. PC at work but have all Mac's at home. From a designing point of view Mac is great. From every other point of view Mac is great. Not sure if you can tell from that which computer I prefer ;0)

Read that book a while ago and really enjoyed it. Have just finished something a bit lighter which was lovely "The Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs.

Loved The Book Thief but LOVE the travel-through-stones series by Diana Gabaldon...So worth it. Jamie Fraser - every girl should have one of these...
Oh - I love your designs. Am still working on Joy Of Life. Up to Block 8........

You know sometimes I think computers were invented to send users around the twist! My poor mum knows all about that when she tried to hook up her internet.
Have not read the Book Thief but I do love to read. Actually a bit of bookworm. Last year I gave myself a 'little' project of reading the top 100 novels of all time. Stitching and reading are my two most favorite things. Heaven!!!!
