Well, it's been a long time coming but here is my 150th post! Very exciting! I have heard from some of you who have wondered why things have been so quiet. Those of you who also read the Melly and me blog will understand what I mean when I say I have been busy trying to help my sister make lemonade. I know this is very cryptic but it sort of has to be. Suffice to say, we came home from Houston to some real challenges in our family. These have meant that business and also the blog have been on hold while we dealt with some bigger issues. We are still working through stuff but feel the growing desire to design and produce again. I thought I would use this post to show you a few beautiful photos from a woman whose work I greatly admire. These photos are of a quilt Stina made from some of my fabric which I sent to her. I think I will also do a blog give away of a full bundle of "Sweet Broderie" to celebrate my 150th post. The bundle consists of 35 fat quarters and is just what you need for Leanne's new block of the month featured in "Vignette" her brand new magazine. If you are looking to purchase a "Sweet Broderie" fat quarter bundle, email me and I will steer you in the right direction to be able to get one.
The following photos are of a beautiful pincushion which is designed by Stina also using "Sweet Broderie".
I simply love Stina's work and if you also want to be thrilled by her beautiful work, I can highly recommend visiting her blog often.
I also wanted to share these photo's of my gorgeous daughter at her Graduation. She has just finished High School. She is anxiously awaiting her University enter score and also a university offer. Her you can see her with her graduating class of eight. She was the only girl in her year level!
Here she is with her big sister.
Big sis and big brother
The much anticipated certificate of graduation! (and yes, that is Leanne that you can see in the background)
We were all so proud to celebrate her big night with her. Now that you have had a little snapshot into my life, we will get down to the exciting part. Leave a comment if you would like the chance to win the "Sweet Broderie" fat quarter bundle and I will randomly choose one of you to get a lovely Christmas package of almost 9m of fabric! Good luck! I will be back with the winner on Friday.
Enjoy your creation!
