It is just as well that I was smelling the roses as by saturday, an horrific hail storm knocked them all off the bushes in my garden! "What garden?", I hear you ask. That would be the garden I had before saturdays storm wiped it out! Not to mention the 6 windows, one door and three sky lights which were also wiped out. Did I neglect to mention that all 3 of our cars were also destroyed by hail stones the size of a fist. This storm came through exactly half an hour after we brought "Willow" home for the first time.

Isn't she gorgeous! My daughter has begged us for a puppy for the last 14 years and we always said, You can't have a puppy when you rent a house, we will get you one when we buy a house". Well, as we have now bought a house three years ago, she keeps reminding us of our promise. Please understand that this is her dog and not mine! lol!
"Willow" is an eight week old labradoodle who is sure to be a joy to our family (except "Tara" our twelve year old cat who is very unimpressed!) I think all that rose smelling finally weakened my resolve and we are now a doggy household (Yes Leanne, I know!)
Anyway, now I have to let the electrician in as the window repair guy has just left and the builder is on the way (thank goodness for insurance!) Another funny side to all this is that My 20 year old son is driving the pink nissan micra that I bought specifically so he wouldn't ask to borrow my car! This is the only car at our house which is drivable after the storm and he has to borrow it to get to work. You can imagine the looks he is getting when he stops at the traffic lights!
Enjoy your creation!
